Take yourself back to a time when life seemed so less complicated.

Before dot com.

When Filmmaker John Hughes was king and coming-of-age movies ruled the box office.

When a person’s biggest dilemma was how to solve the Rubik’s cube.

The time we’re talking about is the 1980’s.

A period of new romanticism.

When MTV was brand new and was actually dedicated to music videos.  On the day it aired The Buggles ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’ the world changed, and that definitive moment set the course for a decade of great music to follow.

That is what Ridgemont High is recapturing.

That “Life’s a Party!” attitude and soundtrack. With the 80’s resurgence now in full swing, it seems obvious why Ridgemont High decided to cover nothing but songs from the 1980’s.  But, this band was one of the first to bust onto the scene back in 2001 committed to delivering these timeless dance hits to audiences. Doing songs people remember… and love.

“It is so much fun to play a song like ‘Always Something There to Remind Me’ or ‘Tainted Love’ and just watch a party break out. The dance floor fills and the audience sings along.  It’s awesome!”

“I wanted to put a band together that played songs that I loved, with musicians that shared the same feelings that I had about the music.  That way, you never get tired of performing.  And you notice this seeing us live.”  Explains Keith Kozak, bassist and founder of Ridgemont High.

“I especially like seeing peoples’ reactions when they hear us do one of their favorites. They just light up! Or, seeing them high-five their friends when we break into one of our many medlies. “It makes it all worth while.” Says Thom Sacco lead vocalist.

At a time when it seems like most cover bands are doing the same thing, Ridgemont High is still unique and is still satisfying audiences… like they have been for the last 8 years! Whether it be the edgy songs from The Clash or Billy Idol, the pop sounds of The Cars or Squeeze, the synth sounds of Devo and Flock of Seagulls, or the numerous one-hit wonders, this band takes you on a New-wave-time-warp back to the 1980s. Recreating the music with the right amount of energy injected into the performance. Imagine reliving all the fun you had over those ten years… in one night! And– if you weren’t fortunate enough to be out and about in the 80′s, Ridgemont High will show you what it was like.

Ridgemont High is a group of musicians who have been playing together, in one form or another, for over 13 years. It’s members have been on MTV, opened for Bon Jovi, and have won first place in numerous battle of the bands contests. The band has experience playing all sorts of venues and events from weddings, private parties, reunions, county fairs, concerts in the park, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and corporate events.
